ABOUT ME

              As a registered nurse I have provided care in both conventional and non-traditional positions. Being exposed to clinical settings with varying levels of electronic data integration has shown me the importance of health technology and its role in improving clinician workflow. In the continually evolving technological world, it is essential to recognize the necessity of healthcare IT professionals. It is for this reason I have begun conscious progress toward further personal and professional development and why I have chosen to pursue a Master's Degree in Nursing Informatics at the University of San Diego. With this education I hope to work in a hospital as an informatics nurse managing and communicating data and information to other nurses, consumers, health care providers, and patients.
