This week, all work on the same-day non-formulary DME datapoints assignment were completed and compiled into one spreadsheet. According to our findings, most orders were appropriate as same-day orders, however almost none were appropriate as non-formulary. The DMEs either fell under other categories missed by the PCP, or the orders weren’t DME at all (supplies, accessories, etc.). With this, PCP training and expansion of DME categories may be necessary.
