In assisting with the DME reconciliation project, we are able to find several areas wherein inconsistencies may arise within the EHR DME ordering and procurement system. It appears many errors occur when physicians order Non-Formulary DME as many are ordered incorrectly. As a result, inmates are not receiving much needed DME, posing potentially serious safety issues.
